A Game Of Inches

A man doing a grip exercise

There is not a coach that doesn’t have a story about how the outcome of victory or defeat was decided by the slightest of margins, hence the descriptive metaphorical phrase, ‘A game of inches.’

Knowing the outcome of a sport can be changed by fractions, it is diligent to train every aspect of one’s strength. Neglecting something so small as training the fingers with a ‘pinch grip’ can be a determinant of winning or losing in competition. Train the entire system and neglect nothing, it can be the winning edge.
