Getting Back To Normal

The health practitioner’s return-to-play protocol after a concussion, whiplash, nerve or muscle trauma must contain a measurable strength component to restore each muscle to normalcy, redressing this tendency to substitute by the injured athlete.

The athlete, strength coach,  and/or trainer should continually collect and maintain neck strength values so, if an injury occurs while playing their prospective sport it is known what the appropriate level of fitness is required to return safely.

This data collection aids in overall muscular fitness and post injury assessment in returning a student-athlete to their appropriate functional movement.
