Strength Training Is Forever
Inactive adults experience a 3% to 8% loss of muscle mass per decade, changing one’s resting metabolic rate and fat accumulation. This loss of muscle strength in aging has and always is a concern. It can lead to many negative outcomes such as a decline in physical abilities, physical performance, walking speed, falls resulting in injury, even cognitive abilities and functional independence, plus more.

To offset and slow these consequences of aging, resistance training can be considered medicine as it has a positive effect as we age on health. A gradual reduction in our physiological systems makes it difficult to retain our musculature. Strength training is the most potent non pharmacological strategy by which skeletal muscle mass can be increased.

Mitigate disuse‐induced skeletal muscle atrophy by resistance training to improve the muscle and its strength and power. Get Strong and Stay Strong throughout your life to improve your quality of living.
